☀️ Wake-up Time Calculator
When should you wake if you sleep now?
📌 Best practice
Adults need 7-9 hours of sleep (4-6 cycles). Children and teens need more. Aim for complete cycles to wake up alert.
Find the Best Time to Wake Up
The Wake-up Time Calculator helps you choose a wake time that aligns with the natural rhythm of your sleep. Sleep moves through repeating cycles of roughly 90 minutes, each passing through lighter and deeper stages. Waking near the end of a cycle, while sleep is light, tends to feel far easier than being pulled out of deep sleep, when you are more likely to feel groggy and slow.
If you sleep now, the tool counts forward in 90-minute cycles and lists several good wake-up times, also adding a short buffer for the few minutes it usually takes to actually fall asleep. You can then pick the option that gives you enough complete cycles for the night ahead.
How to Use It
Open the calculator when you are about to go to bed and read the suggested wake times. Aim for five to six full cycles, which roughly matches the seven to nine hours most adults need. The 90-minute figure is an average, so your ideal pattern may differ slightly. Pair the tool with consistent bedtimes, a dark and quiet room, and less screen time before sleep to wake up feeling genuinely refreshed and alert.
