About Growth Charts
WHO growth charts are used to track children's growth from birth to age five by comparing weight and height to peers of the same age and sex. What matters most is not the percentile number alone but the child staying on their own curve over time. This tool gives an approximate estimate to help you monitor, but it does not replace the official growth chart and your pediatrician's assessment at the well-baby clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions
A percentile compares your child's weight or height to peers of the same age and sex. The 50th percentile means exactly average; the 25th means heavier/taller than 25% of peers, and so on. A child staying on their own growth curve matters more than the number itself.
Values between the 3rd and 97th percentile are considered within the normal range on WHO charts. A low or high number does not necessarily mean a problem, but consult a doctor for sharp deviations or a sudden change in the curve.
It is an estimator based on WHO averages to give an approximate idea. It is not a substitute for the official growth chart at your doctor or well-baby clinic; always rely on your pediatrician's assessment.
Weight percentile measures the child's weight relative to age, and height percentile measures height relative to age. A child may be in a different percentile for each; the doctor considers both together with BMI.
Enter the child's sex, age in months, weight, and height, and the tool estimates the approximate weight and height percentile and BMI based on WHO averages. The tool is free with no registration.
