End of Service Gratuity Information
Article 84 of Saudi Labor Law:
Calculation Method:
  • First 5 years: Half month salary per year
  • After 5 years: One full month salary per additional year
For Resignation:
  • Less than 2 years: No entitlement
  • 2 to 5 years: One-third of gratuity (33.33%)
  • 5 to 10 years: Two-thirds of gratuity (66.67%)
  • 10 years or more: Full gratuity (100%)
For Employer Termination:
  • Employee entitled to full gratuity regardless of service duration
  • Unless termination is for a legitimate disciplinary reason
Important Notes:
  • Last salary includes: Basic salary + Fixed allowances
  • Variable allowances (commissions, bonuses) are not included
  • For retirement, employee entitled to full gratuity
  • Gratuity calculated proportionally for months and days
