GOSI Contribution Rates (2024):
For Saudis:
- Employee (9.75%): Retirement 9% + Unemployment 0.75%
- Employer (11.75%): Retirement 9% + Compensation 2% + Unemployment 0.75%

For Non-Saudis:

Net salary is calculated by deducting social insurance (9.75% for Saudi employees or 2% for expats) from the basic salary. Housing and transportation allowances may also be deducted per the employment contract.
The GOSI social insurance deduction is 9.75% of basic salary for Saudi employees (employer pays additional 11.75%). Expat employees only have 2% deducted for work risk insurance.
Typically salary consists of: basic salary + housing allowance (usually 25%) + transport allowance (about 10%) + other allowances. GOSI is calculated on basic salary only, not allowances.
The minimum salary for counting a Saudi in Nitaqat is SAR 4,000 monthly. There is no official minimum wage for all sectors, but some professions have different minimum thresholds.
